3 Years - School Age - Vacation Care Reception to Year 2
Treetops Stepney Wattle House is located directly next to our original Stepney Centre. This centre has been designed specifically for 3 – 6 year olds. Our centre is driven by educators that have a passion for Early Years Education. The educators within our service all hold early childhood qualifications including certificate 3, diplomas or a bachelor of teaching and are equipped with years of experience working in the childcare profession.
Learning is based on children’s interests and qualified staff plan a curriculum that offers a wide variety of experiences in the areas of math, science, literacy, environment, health, art and creativity, physical and social development. This curriculum is based on the recommended National Early Years Framework, and the centre operates under the National Standards.
We have a large natural outdoor area where children are encouraged to explore and play in this wonderful natural environment.
Wattle House Service proudly presents our enriching Vacation Care program, thoughtfully planned for children from Reception to Year Two in mind. Scheduled around Week 7 of each term, the program features an array of stimulating incursions to spark curiosity and a passion for learning. Nutritious meals are included, fostering healthy habits and supporting holistic development. Available each school holiday, our program promotes emotional, mental, and physical growth while aligning with our commitment to sustainability. We encourage families to book early to secure a place where fun meets educational excellence in a nurturing community environment.
Centre Director
-
Giorgina
Hello, I’m Giorgina, and I’m thrilled to be your Centre Director, where I can guide the growth and development of both children and our dedicated team. My belief in education and child development aligns deeply with the philosophy that children are capable and competent citizens of the now.
This holistic approach speaks to me profoundly; through this lens, I connect wholeheartedly with Reggio Emilia practice and principles. I see myself as not just a leader and educator but also a co-learner and researcher, where the rich connections I build fuel my passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, growth, and community.
Leadership is of utmost importance to me, as I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where each individual’s strengths are valued, and together, we work towards achieving excellence by adhering to the highest standards of quality childcare, education and practice.
I am incredibly passionate about the Early Years and drawn to the three to six years space. In these learning environments, I find great joy in guiding children and educators throughout their journey. I am particularly enthusiastic about creating environments that are inviting and inspire discovery. You’ll often find me gathering new resources for our learning spaces, whether I’m concocting various creations over the weekend or scouring Op Shops for treasures that I know will spark imagination and curiosity.
On a more personal note, I cherish spending time with my family, especially in the kitchen, where we love to cook together. I enjoy exploring the Adelaide Hills and trying out new places to eat. I believe in the importance of balance and enjoy creating memories with those closest to me.
As I continue to lead and grow alongside this amazing community, I am committed to fostering a space where both children and educators can thrive, learn, and be inspired.
